ARUCOST is our desktop example, bringing together estimates, measurements, scheduling and job finances. Its case includes dashboard and editor captures with demonstration data. The material explains interface and information-design decisions without inventing commercial results.
Before we start
Does it need to be a desktop application?
That depends on tasks, the working environment and integrations. Desktop and web options are compared around file access, connectivity, distribution and maintenance.
Can it work offline?
Offline use can be designed when the product needs it. We need to define locally available data and how changes are synchronised; it is a product decision with specific implementation work.
