Kotlin Multiplatform and Flutter

A shared codebase can simplify maintenance, but the decision depends on the product. We compare interfaces, business rules, integrations and device capabilities to assess whether Kotlin Multiplatform, Flutter or another architecture fits.

Share the right code. Keep the right differences.

A worker's mobile app and a desktop estimating tool have different rhythms and requirements. Sharing data or calculations does not mean duplicating every screen. Platform-specific testing, permissions, distribution and integrations still need to be planned.

What we work on

How we work together

We discuss the cost of the whole product, not just the percentage of shared code. Mi Jornada provides a mobile product example using Kotlin Multiplatform; ARUCOST shows a different use case focused on desktop work. Each case identifies the material actually available.

Before we start

Which is better: Kotlin Multiplatform or Flutter?

There is no universal answer. We assess the desired experience, integrations, target platforms and future code ownership before recommending a tool.

Does shared code remove the need for iOS and Android testing?

No. Each platform retains its own behaviour and requirements. Testing and release preparation are planned separately.
